Newcomer Games at the Club
Twice a week, we have a duplicate game in which only players with limited masterpoints are allowed to play. On Tuesdays, players with up to 199 masterpoints may play. We spend the first half hour or so discussing duplicate procedures, etiquette and a hand or two, and then play for the remainder of the time. Also, on Fridays players with up to 199 masterpoints may play. In fall and winter, we conduct a lesson for 30-45 minutes and then play. These weekly games are intended to provide players an opportunity to develop their duplicate skills in a friendly and more informal setting. It's a great way for less experienced duplicate players to improve their game in a relaxed environment.
